About Marcus

Marcus Bennett came up through the production side of performance apparel, starting on the cutting and sewing floor before moving into technical development and sourcing. Over thirteen years he has specified fabrics, run sampling rounds, and shepherded custom fishing apparel programs from tech pack to bulk shipment for wholesalers and private-label brands across North America, Europe and Australia.

His focus is the unglamorous detail that decides whether an order actually works: UPF and quick-dry fabric selection, dye-sublimation versus screen-print and embroidery trade-offs, realistic MOQ and cost tiers, factory QC and compliance testing, and the tech-pack inputs a factory genuinely needs to sample from. He has worked across the full catalog — shirts, jerseys, jackets, hoodies, pants, bibs and waders, plus hats, neck gaiters and gloves — and across saltwater, tournament and cold-weather use cases.

At FishingApparelFactory, Marcus leads the editorial program: turning the questions buyers ask the sales team every week into long-form, factory-grounded guides. He writes so a first-time private-label founder and a seasoned distribution buyer can both get a straight answer without the marketing gloss.
